This course introduces students to the object-oriented programming (OOP) paradigm as a disciplined approach to software design and development. Using Python as the primary language, students master the four pillars of OOP: encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and abstraction; and apply them to build modular, reusable, and maintainable software. The course progresses from core language features through object-oriented design principles, UML modelling, collections and generics, exception handling, file I/O, and an introduction to design patterns. Students develop practical software solutions to real-world business problems, preparing them for advanced work in systems development, software engineering, and AI application development.
