This course seeks to look at various ways of studying religion. The problems associated with defining religion will be looked at and a resolution to this issue presented. The phenomenological method will be presented as a way of studying  method will look at ways of studying religion without bias. The aspects of this method will enable one to have the spirit of tolerance and to respect the believers point of view. The reductionist methods as well as their problems in the study of religion will be tackled for example these methods do not a study religion from the perspectives of psychology and sociology which in turn bring about certain biases. The major aspects of the major world Religions of the world particularly, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism and Buddhism will be tackled. Analysis of these religions will be done as well as finding the differences and similarities. Application on how a minister can approach various religions without offending the adherents will be done
