This is a course that aims to prepare students to write a mini research paper and practice writing well. Its aim is not to practice good English grammar, but to give us tools and skills to become better at academic writing by engaging in clear, concise, consistent, and captivating writing. As business students, topics will mainly circle around areas in business that will assist in performing an important function in product development, diversification, introducing a new product, product improvement, process technologies, choosing a site, new investment etc. This will be a course where you will do quite a bit on your own and then quite a bit with class mates in the course and some more with your supervisor. The areas to be concentrated are: Introduction, review of related literature and studies, methodology, presentation, analysis and interpretation of data and the summary, conclusion and recommendations. At the end of the research paper student will make a class presentation of his/her assigned area of researched study. This will enable student to be equipped with the knowledge of empirical use of research benefits.
