This course will introduce the prophetic movement in the Old Testament. The role and message of the prophet in the 8^th and 7^th centuries BC will be considered. The prophetic books, both major and minor, will be surveyed in their historical context as well as their contemporary application in the 21^st century. Their Messianic and eschatological significance will also be put into consideration
