Christian education focuses on the teaching and training of minds for effectiveness in this world and citizenship in the world to come. The education system of Christian Schools is founded upon a God-centered worldview. Biblical principles that prove God to be real, the source of truth, the source of knowledge, and the architect who sustains the universe are the basis of the Christian worldview. This course articulates the principles that are the basis of Christian education. Attention is given to the application of the historical, philosophical, psychological, sociological, and spiritual foundational principles that define Christian education. Emphasis is given to the relationship of these foundational areas to the design and practice of contemporary Christian education. Course participants will engage in the evaluation of articles that address Christian education and in the application of the principles learnt.
