MEEL/MELM 615  Ethics and values in Christian education

Course Synopsis

This course (MEEL /MELM 615) is a study of major ethical theories and their application to educational issues and Christian ethical decision making. The course also focuses on teaching   graduate  students moral education and values. Ethical case studies will be examined in some detail, backed by reviewing the ideas of some well known  theories. Pertinent education issues such as discipline, assessment, conflict of interest, hiring of teachers will be discussed. Business & corporate ethics, financial management ethics, delineation of roles in educational institutions (such as the role of the ministry, role of SDA/SDC  in management of school funds ) will also be covered.
