COURSE DESCRIPTION:

A survey of statistical and quantitative techniques used in problem solving and decision making. Topics covered include introduction to statistics, preparing the data file, preliminary analyses, overview of the different statistical techniques, statistical techniques to explore relationships among variables, statistical techniques to compare groups, non-parametric statistics and other research writing requisites.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course is designed to provide students with an overview of quantitative research methodology applicable to the investigation of organizational phenomena. It is intended to introduce the fundamental skills and concepts needed to design and conduct behavioral research for research degree students and to enhance the students’ ability to evaluate the research of others. It is designed to master students’ ability in empirical econometric analysis of economic and social sciences data.
